Job description
Job Details: **Highly recommended to include a resume in a PDF or Word Document format and/or complete the application fully showing current and past work experience to be considered for the position** This position is responsible for inventory control in the maintenance shop and receiving and storing parts, maintenance supplies, and miscellaneous receivers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. Inspect the physical condition of warehouse inventory and equipment. Prepares materials for work orders and requisitions for equipment replacement. Ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing. Salvages damaged or used material and/or its disposal. Check all issued equipment (including hand and portable power tools), and ensure they are inspected and replaced when needed. Ensure all flammables are returned for proper storage and/or disposal. Ability to safely operate forklifts or other equipment utilized in the warehouse area or for parts and/or supply delivery. Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
using SAP preferred but not required as well as Excel, Word, Outlook, and other computer programs.
