Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Project Management professional to join our diverse and talented engineering organization in support of realizing our vision of making World Class Program Managers. As a project management professional in our Program Manager Learning and Development organization, you will be responsible for the planning, management and creation of training projects and documentation. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, and a background in training and/or professional development to include curriculum development and in person curriculum instruction. Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with experienced Aeronautics Systems sector Program Management and functional teams to meet the needs Program Manager training and development.

Essential Functions

Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house Program Management training programs in support of all sector Program/Project manager employees and associated functions Obtains information needed from subject matter experts to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids Facilitates training sessions when required Develop and implement programs for evaluating effectiveness of training activities Continuously revise lesson plans to meet updated or emerging training requirements and keep training material up to date Oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects, review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare training status reports Basic

Qualifications

Principal Project Management: Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience Relevant would include project/program management, learning and development course delivery as described above in essential functions Ability to travel up to 10% Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills required, as well as strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment

Experience

with budgeting processes and monthly tracking and reporting procedures Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret clearance within a reasonable time as determined by business needs Basic

Qualifications

Senior Principal Project Management: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree and 6 years of relevant experience Relevant would include project/program management, learning and development course delivery as described above in essential functions Ability to travel up to 10% Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills required, as well as strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment

Experience

Current PMP certification Control Account Manager (CAM) experience Proficiency in tracking/reporting tools/dashboards such as JIRA and TABLEAU

Experience

selecting appropriate instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstration-performance, problem-based learning, student-centered learning, and guided discussion

Experience

supporting, building, and promoting a positive and collaborative culture across cross-functional teams

Experience

applying Lean-Agile practices on a project team Active Secret/Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Clearance within a reasonable time as determined by business needs Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $141,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $176,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
