1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Manage a team responsible for independent review and challenge of credit risk activities for Consumer Lending products. Primary oversight activities include the management and performance monitoring of policies and standards that govern credit decision strategies including marketing, new account originations, account management, and collections/recovery. Additional oversight activities include credit strategy change management, lending authority, and credit strategy exception testing. Consumer Credit Risk provides strategic leadership, management and integration within Truist by providing expertise and membership in various key credit functions/committees (Asset Quality Working Groups, Business Unit Risk Committees, Consumer Credit Working Group, Truist Risk Appetite Framework), leadership on controls and issues management, and guiding teams to respond and remediate regulatory audits. Consumer Lending credit exposures include Credit Card, Unsecured Personal Lines & Loans, Real Estate, Auto, Small Business, Consumer Wealth Management, Direct to Consumer, and other National Consumer Finance products totaling more than $120 Billion in outstandings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Provide independent leadership and strategic direction for complex multi-product consumer credit horizontal domains or business units to ensure the long-term objectives are appropriately balanced among quality, growth, and profitability, and monitors loan-pricing strategies to maximize the performance of the overall loan portfolio. 2. Provide direct oversight to team on development and maintenance of consumer loan policies and procedures, including high standards for credit quality and guidelines around credit limits, to ensure credit is extended appropriately within consumer business units. 3. Lead a team that provides oversight and effective challenge to the first line of defense on the development of new and existing consumer lending products for clients, ensuring profitability for the business units. Develop tools and metrics to identify 'deviations from the norm" or potentially fast growing high-risk segments in the consumer portfolio. 4. Support consumer merger activity through the development and execution of effective merger integration plans. 5. Lead the integration of risk and portfolio management best practices across horizontally and by consumer product lines ensuring returns are optimized through economic credit cycles. 6. Provide direct oversight to team on the establishment, analysis, and maintenance of concentration limits, exceptions, product mix/pricing, delinquency and loss trending, product optimization, originations, and portfolio performance targets by consumer business. 7. Provide direct oversight to team to ensure integrity in the establishment, updating and maintenance of the automated decision engines and custom credit models. Provide independent leadership in the development of consumer portfolio risk-based pricing models and loan loss models involving logistic regression and other statistical techniques and emerging issues. 8. Lead a team that provides periodic loan review plans for the consumer loan portfolio by working with Credit Risk Review. 9. Prepare and deliver committee presentations for senior and executive level members to take immediate action driven by the recommendation 10. Serve as a key contact for Consumer Credit with third party assurance providers e.g. Federal and State Regulatory agencies, Credit Risk Review and Internal Audit. Establish management and administrative procedures for consumer portfolios to ensure adherence to regulatory credit policies. Engage in credit risk review and internal audits performed against consumer credit either horizontally or by business unit. QUALIFICATIONS Required

Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent education and related training. 2. 15 years of credit related experience including complex lending structures, documentation skills, modeling skills and problem loan experience 3. 15 plus years of related experience, including consumer, small business, credit card, mortgage and/or wealth 4. Consumer risk and regulatory knowledge 5. Superior ability to think strategically, multi-task, and drive change 6. Superior quantitative, governance and analytic abilities 7. Strong decision making capability 8. Strong leadership, partnership and management skills 9. Demonstrated excellent problem solving 10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 20 plus years credit related experience 2. Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or engineering 3. Direct experience developing and managing consumer credit decision strategies 4. Serves as a member or in a leadership position with an industry professional association 5.
