The Client Executive (CE) will contribute to daily account work by managing small projects and contributing to larger projects as directed by project leaders. They may supervise account work done by more junior staffs. They will learn Edelman’s various Communications Marketing processes/approaches, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, social media campaigns and stakeholder mapping exercises and support account teams in the execution of these processes for clients. Responsibilities Public Relations / Communications responsibilities Demonstrates a strong understanding of integrated Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations principles and strategies Develops knowledge of key client information, including business strategy, industry landscape, products/services, target audiences, and competitors Manages media relations by identifying relevant media and building relationships across traditional and online channels Writes press materials and internal communication content Edits and proofreads materials to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with appropriate writing styles Social Execution Responsibility Demonstrates understanding of public engagement and social media program implementation Executes social media activities aligned with client objectives Applies basic social media tools and platforms (e.g., social networks) effectively to support campaigns Planning / Research / Monitoring Conducts traditional and online research to support internal team Demonstrates understanding of media monitoring methodologies and supports monitoring activities Participates in brainstorming, program development, and planning processes Manages projects with strong organizational skills, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and partners while keeping stakeholders updated on progress Qualification At least one year of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university Intricate level of understanding of the account(s), the clients’ businesses, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, opposition, etc. Understand basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals Good research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts/relationships Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies.
