Job posting - Security Officer – The Moscone Center The Moscone Center has two (2) openings for Security Officers under the Service Employees International Union. Title: Security Officer Department: Security Reports to: Security Services Supervisor and/or Manager Schedule: Full time, no set shift or days off Rate of Pay: $28.54 / hour to start Responsibilities: Be in uniform and ready to work at the start of scheduled shift. Respond to emergencies as needed. Observe report and manage crowd activities. Complete all internal reports and documents accurately and legibly. Lock and unlock meeting rooms as requested and secure all exit doors. Complete all shift duties as assigned by Security Supervisors and Building Management. Enforce facility rules and regulations governing the access to and use of the facility and grounds. Provide information and directions to all persons requesting such information. Complete guard tours and perimeter checks. Respond to any incidents or checks as directed by Building Management. Patrol and secure the facility and grounds as required. Assign report numbers and log appropriately when covering the Control Room. Ensure that proper logs and entries are recorded accurately and legibly when covering the Control Room and complete written reports when appropriate. Ensure that lost & found procedures are enforced. Monitor cameras and report any unusual occurrences when covering the Control Room. Report any camera, computer, and equipment malfunctions immediately and log appropriately when covering the Control Room. Follow and enforce all ASM policies, rules, and regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned. Report all incidents and findings during the schedule shift by submitting the proper report to Security Management. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to project and maintain a professional demeanor. Must be able to satisfactorily complete and maintain CPR certification. Must be computer literate or be willing to accept training to the point of literacy in relevant applications Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent At least 18 years old or older (BSIS Guard Card Requirement) Pass employment background check, agility test, & drug/alcohol test Please apply with a copy of your resume to be considered.
