Job Details: Starting Pay: $18.80 /hr plus a $2.00/hr shift premium This position is accountable for monitoring product throughout the processing phase. Must maintain good communication with receiving/preparation, floor operators, grinding room, and loadout to coordinate equipment adjustments as needed. Responsible for the operation of computers that operate the facility. May be required to reset breakers, starters, and variable frequency drives. This person must be able to identify all motor controls or equipment and relay information to team member for correct lockout. Monitors controls, relays temps, gate positions, and speeds to Team members, operates computers, volt meters, electrical equipment, centrifuge/analysis machines, and basic hand tools. Reports any unsafe items to the supervisor, resets controls in motor control center, follow plant safety rules, perform QA/HACCP duties as assigned and communicate via two way radio. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must have a valid State Driver's License for this position. Desire electronics background, basic PC skills, organizational skills, flexibility, a willingness to participate in team efforts, and the ability to read and write. Must be able to sit for long periods of time spending tedious hours observing a computer screen and have the ability to distinguish colors of flashing lights.
