Education
A bachelor’s degree in a mental health field is required; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
Experience
At least two (2) years of direct service experience working with individuals with severe mental health disorders. One (1) year of clinical supervisory experience in an outpatient, hospital, or residential setting (preferred). Minimum of one (1) year of experience conducting clinical training or overseeing a training program (preferred). Licensure & Certifications: A valid California Driver’s License and Pro-ACT certification. How you will make a difference (Job Overview): The Regional Director of Training is responsible for the development, coordination, supervision, and delivery of training programs in the Southern Region. The Training Director oversees new employee orientation, required in-service training, and specialized clinical training within a mental health setting. This includes providing educational services to all staff in support of the clinical treatment of seriously emotionally disturbed clients.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to: maintaining accurate records of all staff training and attendance; regularly delivering training sessions to both groups and individuals; and creating opportunities to host trainings for other professionals or collaborate with external organizations. Additionally, the Training Director builds and maintains relationships with County staff, universities, and other organizations to assess training needs, secure qualified trainers, and develop joint training initiatives.
