Responsibilities
System Quality Assurance & Testing: Design and execute functional, integration, regression, boundary, scale, and longevity test plans across Linux and VMware environments to ensure system stability and feature completeness. Fabric Telemetry & Analytics Validation: Test and verify advanced network management features, including flow monitoring, policy-based threshold configurations, event alerting, and fabric health metrics (latency tracking, throughput monitoring, congestion detection, and path enumeration). Environment Provisioning & Administration: Install, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Linux environments (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) and VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter, virtual networking, and datastores) for end-to-end test setups. Automation Development: Build, enhance, and maintain automated test suites using Python to streamline regression and continuous test execution against Brocade Fabric OS (FOS) fabrics, hardware platforms, and management APIs. Defect Tracking & Triage: Identify, isolate, document, and track software defects and system anomalies in JIRA, collaborating directly with development teams to drive resolution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, and area leads to evaluate technical specifications, provide test progress updates, and deliver quality risk assessments.

Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years in hands-on software SQA testing. Linux Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in Linux system administration, deployment, storage configuration, networking, and shell troubleshooting. VMware Virtualization: Proven experience installing, configuring, and managing VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter server environments, including virtual network and storage provisioning. Storage & Networking Concepts: Strong understanding of enterprise storage concepts, storage architectures, and IP/networking protocol troubleshooting (L2/L3/L4 protocols). Test Automation: Proficiency in scripting for test automation (Python preferred) targeting storage fabrics, hardware switches, or networking platforms. Testing Methodologies: Solid background in functional, integration, negative, boundary, scale, stress, and longevity test methodologies. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, root-cause analysis, and communication skills; strong ability to manage parallel tasks in a fast-paced environment. Attendance: 100% on-site presence required. Highly Desired Skills Networking & Storage Protocols: Broad understanding of enterprise networking protocols (e.g., Fibre Channel, FCIP, FICON, iSCSI, NVMe-oF, or high-speed Ethernet/IP protocols). Experience
