Job description

About the Role

This is a foundational hire for a fast-growing AI software company, building and owning the end-to-end recruiting function from the ground up. You'll work closely with leadership and hiring managers to scale a high-quality talent pipeline as the team grows significantly over the coming year. The role carries real autonomy and broad scope — spanning sourcing, process design, employer branding, and HR operations.

What You'll Do

  • Define clear role requirements in direct partnership with hiring managers across the organisation.
  • Drive active sourcing and channel activation to build strong, high-potential candidate pipelines.
  • Conduct pre-screening and screening calls that deliver actionable, well-qualified shortlists.
  • Own end-to-end coordination of hiring processes to ensure smooth, timely progression.
  • Negotiate and close employment contracts with candidates.
  • Design and implement lean, scalable recruiting processes and the operational structures to support them.
  • Develop and execute employer branding initiatives tied to recruiting.
  • Coordinate external partners including payroll providers, tax advisors, and notaries.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities as part of the full employee lifecycle.
  • Establish HR foundations — tools, processes, and team events — in close collaboration with the founding team.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, delivering end-to-end recruiting processes across diverse roles and formats.
  • Proven ability to build and implement lean, scalable recruiting processes from scratch.
  • Data-driven mindset with a track record of defining, tracking, and reporting hard recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, pipeline conversion rates).
  • Experience negotiating employment contracts and successfully closing offers.
  • Strong command of modern recruiting platforms and tools, including setup and optimisation for day-to-day use.
  • Demonstrated skill in quickly assessing candidates for both substantive fit and cultural alignment across large applicant pools.
  • Ability to compellingly pitch roles and the company to secure top talent.
  • Experience coordinating external HR-adjacent partners (payroll, legal, tax) within recruiting workflows.
  • Familiarity with employer branding strategy and execution in a startup context.
  • Exposure to AI tools and modern workflows in recruitment is a plus.
  • Fluency in German is required for this role.
