Job Summary
The Manager Quality role is responsible for leading customer quality management across CCMC campus, supporting both domestic and international customers. This role serves as the primary interface between customers and internal functions, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, robust quality performance, and continuous improvement across operations. The successful candidate will leverage deep knowledge of Caterpillar quality systems, strong stakeholder management skills, data-driven decision making, and effective team leadership to drive sustainable quality excellence and business success. Responsibilities
Lead overall customer quality activities across CCMC and serve as the primary customer quality representative. Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and global customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, product specifications, and Caterpillar quality standards. Drive investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions for customer complaints and quality issues. Lead structured problem-solving initiatives utilizing 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Global Quality teams to deliver quality improvements. Develop and utilize quality dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and other analytical platforms. Monitor and improve critical quality KPIs, including customer PPM, complaint rates, response effectiveness, and cost of poor quality. Drive continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems and audit readiness. Lead, coach, and develop the customer quality team, focusing on capability enhancement, productivity improvement, talent development, and overtime management. Manage campus-wide quality improvement and strategic initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence. Required Skills/
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. 8+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment. Strong customer quality management experience with direct customer interaction. Proven people leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams. Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong customer-focused mindset and relationship management capabilities. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with high emotional intelligence. Deep understanding of Caterpillar systems, quality processes, and operational workflows. Proficiency in quality tools including 8D, RCA, PFMEA, and Control Plans. Advanced analytical skills with hands-on experience using Power BI, Excel, or similar data visualization tools. Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills. Preferred Skills/
Qualifications
Experience
with APQP, PPAP, and advanced quality planning methodologies. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification preferred.
Experience
