Job Description Summary As a Senior Director – Identity Management Leader, you will lead the Identity team in the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Vernova’s Identity and Access Management strategies, policies, and initiatives, in partnership with Vernova businesses. In this role, you will have a strong understanding of the underlying controls and business processes that comprise the major functions of Identity and Access Management, as well as leadership to implement and continuously improve these critical processes. Responsibilities
• Lead cybersecurity Identity and Access management program including all core identity lifecycle processes. • Serve as a primary lead across the identity lifecycle, from birthright to decommissioning and all phases in between • Represent the Identity function holistically in Identity activities, while assessing risks and ensuring alignment with GE Vernova cybersecurity standards, controls, playbooks, and strategic priorities, including: - Joiner, mover and leaver - Platform management of all core Identity platforms - Infrastructure security of the environment hosting the Identity platforms - Management of software solutions used to deliver identity capabilities globally - Network connectivity from Identity solutions to end user devices - Authentication protection and governance - Logging, monitoring, and security operations - Vulnerability and exposure management • Lead identity activities aligned to recognized frameworks and standards, including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, while applying GE Vernova cybersecurity practices and expectations. • Quantify identity risk and remediation requirements and translate findings into business terms, including transaction risk, remediation investment, Day 1 requirements, TSA needs, and post-close priorities. • Develop and maintain repeatable playbooks, templates, and standards for cyber diligence, integration, separation, and post-close execution. • Lead and manage external identity management service providers delivering operational capabilities to GE Vernova businesses • Prepare executive-ready updates on the Identity strategy including the transformation of the identity capabilities in-line with industry trends • Lead the identity organization delivering these capabilities and processes Required
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience. • Significant cybersecurity experience, including leadership in Identity Management and service management • Strong technical depth across multiple cybersecurity domains in both enterprise IT as well as OT/ICS environment segmentation. •
Experience
applying cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171 •
Experience
working in complex, cross-functional, matrixed environments with senior stakeholders. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and decision support. •
Experience
leading external partners, assessors, consultants, or managed service providers. • Ability to operate with urgency, manage ambiguity, and adapt quickly to changing transaction priorities. • Willingness and ability to travel 20–30%, including international travel, based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
• 10+ years of Identity experience with significant depth in complex identity solutions across solutions providers •
Experience
across both IT and OT/ICS cybersecurity, including industrial control environments, segmentation, and resilience. •
Experience
in energy, power, renewables, grid, industrial, or other critical infrastructure sectors. •
Experience
with cyber risk quantification methodologies aligned to identity standards and practices. • Knowledge of AI, analytics, or automation applications in cybersecurity and the ability to help shape practical identity use cases. • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, GICSP, CCSP, CCSK, or cloud security certifications. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
