Reporting to the Financial Controller for FTSE Russell, this role will manage all revenue and partner share aspects of financial control for the FTSE Russell division with a team based in Sri Lanka. The role will focus on revenue accounting in line with IFRS, revenue analysis and the financial close at month ends. Responsibilities
Manage a team of revenue accountants and work closely with colleagues in various global teams (Billing, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Credit Control etc) Ensure accurate month end close for revenue of FTSE Russell legal entities including oversight of divisional numbers in full compliance with internal and external reporting standards, policies and internal controls. Monthly management reporting of revenue variance analysis to finance and business stakeholders with supporting commentary. Generate ad hoc revenue/customer level analysis as required by various teams Prepares IFRS 9 provisioning quarterly by legal entity Works with Finance Business Partners/SAM Finance teams on exit rate (ASV reporting) and in the bag models and on monitoring performance against budget Maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, keeping up to date on business developments and providing financial insights as appropriate. Works closely with the Divisional CFO, finance business partnering leads, business stakeholders and compliance teams. Critically evaluates and evolves systems, policies, and processes and drives standardisation, automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention while collaborating across cross-functional teams. Involvement in various ad hoc projects including Oracle system implementations and new business initiatives. Manages the internal and external financial audits by coordinating audit requests and managing the relationship with the audit teams. Key Relationships: Various colleagues across the Financial Controllership leadership team including Tax and Treasury Support teams in Sri Lanka and India Business stakeholders in the FTSE Russell leadership team FTSE Russell and Central FP&A as well as Group consolidation teams Compliance External and Internal Auditors Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies: Essential skills Relevant professional qualification with minimum of 8 years PQE Strong revenue accounting (IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 ECL) experience Extensive experience in financial control and experienced in best practice financial control processes Experienced people leader and experience working in a matrix organisation and in forming strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills Highly personable with an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that reports out of different geographies
