Receiving Clerk | Morton Grove, IL Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour Make an Impact Every Day Join Xylem's Morton Grove manufacturing team and play a critical role in keeping materials, inventory, and supplier transactions flowing accurately and efficiently. As a Receiving Clerk, you'll serve as a key connection between operations, procurement, warehousing, suppliers, and finance, ensuring incoming materials are received, documented, and processed correctly to support production and customer commitments. This role offers a blend of administrative, analytical, and hands-on logistics responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail and collaboration are essential to success. Why This Role Is Different Directly support a manufacturing operation that plays a vital role in Xylem's Applied Water Systems business. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Warehouse teams. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen events and Gemba Walks. Gain exposure to inventory management, receiving systems, supplier performance, and logistics processes. What You'll Be Doing Manage daily receiving activities and ensure accurate processing of inbound shipments. Enter, investigate, resolve, and update receipt discrepancies within MERIT. Maintain receiving discrepancy reports, metrics, and related documentation. Monitor and ensure timely closure of EDI receipts and associated reports. Sort, prioritize, and respond to incoming correspondence and email requests promptly. Maintain organized receiving records, files, and documentation. Document and photograph damaged inbound materials while following established reporting procedures. Partner with the Finance team to resolve invoice and receipt discrepancies. Review aging reports and investigate outstanding receiving-related issues. Analyze and clear RMTERROR reports to maintain transaction accuracy. Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in Gemba Walks to identify process improvement opportunities. Assist with inbound receipt processing and warehouse support activities as needed. What We're Looking For Required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in a receiving, logistics, warehouse support, inventory, or supply chain administration role. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook. Comfortable learning and using ERP, logistics, and inventory management systems. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience
working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Experience
with receiving transactions, discrepancy resolution, and inventory reporting. Familiarity with EDI processes and ERP systems
