Join Moderna's U.S. Accounting organization from our Warsaw Enterprise Solutions Hub, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. As an individual contributor, you'll partner with global stakeholders to support Fixed Assets and General Ledger accounting while helping drive operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement. Here's What You'll Do: Support General Ledger accounting activities, including prepaids, accruals, cash accounting, fixed asset capitalization, Construction in Progress (CIP), transfers, disposals, depreciation, account reconciliations, accounting analyses, and maintenance of fixed asset records in SAP. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for Fixed Assets and General Ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and close analyses. Partner closely with the U.S. Accounting team and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver an accurate, complete, and timely financial close. Review capital projects and fixed asset transactions to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Maintain documentation supporting SOX internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance requirements. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Drive continuous improvements, automation, and standardization across General Ledger and Fixed Assets accounting processes. Leverage digital technologies and emerging automation capabilities to improve the efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of accounting operations. Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Facilities, and other business partners to support capital investments and operational objectives. Analyze accounting transactions, investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency. Work closely with both the U.S.-based Accounting team and the Poland-based Accounting Manager to support global accounting operations. Participate in special projects, system implementations, compliance initiatives, audits, and evolving business priorities. Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, innovation, continuous improvement, and high-quality financial reporting. Here's What You'll Bring to the Table: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including General Ledger and/or Fixed Assets accounting within a complex global environment. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and financial close processes.
Experience
supporting capital projects or manufacturing environments is advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and recommend practical improvements. A curious mindset with a passion for challenging existing processes and driving continuous improvement. The ability to thrive in ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced global organization. Excellent collaboration skills across international Accounting, Finance, and business teams. Full professional proficiency in English. ERP experience, strong Excel skills, and SAP experience are highly valued.
Experience
within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry is a plus.
