Global Analytics & Insights (GA&I) mission is to improve the quality of the decisions taken on our oncology assets through the creation and delivery of excellent market, customer, and competitor analytics. This role is based in our Oncology team and will lead the generation of insight and analytics within our lung cancer portfolio. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape business strategy for our exciting upcoming oncology launches in lung cancer. In this role, you will generate foundational insights, develop long-term forecasts, and build performance trackers that help inform, quantify, and deliver our business ambition. Working closely with cross-functional partners, global commercial teams, and local markets, you will translate market understanding, analytics, and competitive dynamics into strategic recommendations — ensuring decisions are grounded in an aligned view of opportunity, risk, and action. Accountabilities: INSIGHTS Lead the end-to-end design, execution, interpretation, and sharing of qualitative and quantitative market research, translating business priorities into clear research questions and actionable outputs Integrate insights across primary research, secondary sources, real-world data, and other available evidence to identify strategic implications and inform brand and disease-area strategy FORECASTING Lead long-term forecasting by integrating insights, performance, analytics, and competitive intelligence to develop robust assumptions and quantify commercial potential for inline and pipeline indications Partner with global commercial teams and local markets to calibrate and align on a shared forecast view, and ensure outputs accurately reflect strategic choices, market dynamics, opportunities, and risks. PERFORMANCE Define what success looks like by co-leading KPI development with commercial teams, ensuring KPIs are informative, measurable, actionable to guide decisions that drive business growth Monitor market dynamics, including AZ and competitor product performance, to identify growth opportunities, potential risks, and implications for evolving brand strategy ANALYTICS Partner with data experts to frame the right business questions and determine the most appropriate analytical approaches across complex datasets, including electronic medical records, claims data, and quantitative survey data Understand the strengths, limitations, and trade-offs of different analytical approaches, and translate results into clear implications for commercial and local-market stakeholders to inform strategy and actions GENERAL Influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders by translating complex insights, analytics, and forecast into clear, compelling recommendations tailored to stakeholder needs Apply strong business acumen to identify priority areas for insight generation and forecasting, proactively shaping the questions, analyses, and assumptions needed to inform brand and disease-area strategy Develop deep subject matter expertise in your disease area and brand, becoming the go-to partner for market understanding, customer insights, and strategic priorities ESSENTIAL Bachelor’s degree in science, mathematics or data-related field 5+ yrs experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a closely related field (e.g., life sciences consulting, investment banking). Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following: forecasting, primary market research, or advanced analytics. The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges between $194,571.20 - $291,856.80 USD Annual. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
