Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position Recognised payroll qualification such as IPASS or equivalent, evidencing professional payroll expertise. Extensive experience managing end-to-end payroll processes across multiple payroll cycles (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) and diverse client portfolios. Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing payroll team. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills, capable of handling complex payroll issues and escalations confidently. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Demonstrated adaptability to evolving payroll legislation, technology, and best practices, with a proactive approach to continuous learning and process improvement. What type of work will I be doing? Team Leadership and Management: Training, performance management, and development of the payroll team to maintain a motivated and high-performing workforce. Payroll Operations Oversight: Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles, compliance with legislation, and internal policies. Client Relationship Management: Acting as the primary client contact, providing proactive support, resolving complex issues, and delivering on-site client training as needed. Process Improvement and Financial Management: Driving efficiency initiatives, managing payroll budgets, forecasting, and monitoring costs. Technology and Compliance: Supporting payroll software implementation, ensuring data security, and staying abreast of regulatory changes. Who is the Hiring Manager?
