Role Type Permanent What you'll be doing: As a General Accounting CoE Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality Record-to-Report activities across Avon markets. Working within our Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting month-end close activities, preparing accounting entries, reconciliations, reporting, and financial commentary, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and internal controls. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with finance teams across multiple markets and functions, contributing to process improvements and helping drive operational excellence in a dynamic international environment. Key responsibilities: Performing accounting activities in line with standard operating procedures and corporate requirements Maintaining accurate, complete, and up-to-date accounting records for assigned Avon markets Supporting the month-end close process and ensuring actual financial results are delivered on time and to the required quality standards Preparing and posting journal entries related to fixed assets, leases, payroll, prepayments, inventories, and other accounting transactions Managing and calculating provisions and accruals, including obsolescence reserves, accounts receivable reserves, royalties, bonuses, pension plans, and other finance-related provisions Performing Chart of Accounts (CoA) maintenance activities Preparing and posting CAPEX reclassification journals Managing and clearing balance sheet accounts and clearing accounts across multiple entities where required Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations and investigating reconciling items following month-end close Reviewing reconciliations completed by outsourced service providers and ensuring quality and accuracy Preparing data and inputs for corporate reporting webforms Analysing financial results and preparing commentary to support Controlling CoEs and FP&A teams Executing and documenting internal controls related to accounting transactions and financial reporting Collaborating with Centre of Excellence teams, shared services, market finance teams, controllers, tax specialists, and internal control teams to ensure effective process execution What we're looking for: Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline Professional accounting qualification or certification is an advantage At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a multinational organisation Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Record-to-Report processes Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities Good knowledge of fixed assets, leases, provisions, and balance sheet accounting Experience working with accounting and financial systems Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and explain business results Fluent English, both written and spoken Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work Leadership potential and the ability to positively influence and collaborate with others across teams What we offer: We offer a comprehensive benefits package along with wellness resources and work-life balance support in line with your country practices and Avon purpose aiming to help you live a healthier life, protect you and your dear ones, and ensure you’re at your best.
