Anderson University’s Office of Human Resources invites applications for the role of full-time Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator provides high-quality administrative and operational support across a broad range of Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, employment changes, payroll, benefits, contracts, training, and employee relations. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and highly hospitable experience for faculty and staff throughout the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include coordinating and processing onboarding activities for full-time and part-time faculty and staff, including background checks, offer letters, contracts, payroll documentation, benefit enrollment, electronic employee files, and new employee setup within the University’s ERP system. This role is also responsible for entering and maintaining accurate employment changes and employee information in Workday, maintaining confidential HR records, and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of HR documentation. Additional responsibilities include creating and modifying faculty contracts and job descriptions; processing supplemental payments; maintaining faculty records and required training; assisting with benefits administration; preparing exit paperwork; and supporting annual HR processes and compliance activities. The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key member of the Human Resources team by responding to questions, resolving issues, and providing daily support to faculty and staff. The position assists with and participates in new employee orientation, training programs, and other HR initiatives and is expected to provide cross-functional support and backup to other members of the HR team as needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, confidentiality, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines. The position also requires a strong commitment to teamwork and a willingness to learn and support functions across the Human Resources department. Associate degree and three to five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience required, preferably in an academic or higher education environment. Training or a certificate in human resource functions is preferred.

Experience

with Workday or another ERP/Human Resources information system is strongly preferred. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
