Job Classification: Sales - Sales Prudential is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) to serve as a primary relationship leader for key distribution partners within the Individual Retirement and Annuities business. This role is responsible for developing and executing firm-specific growth strategies, strengthening executive-level relationships, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring seamless coordination across Sales, Product, Operations, Marketing, Service, and Technology teams. The Senior Relationship Manager will act as a trusted advisor to home office partners, broker-dealers, banks, wirehouses, and other strategic distribution organizations. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the annuity marketplace, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to influence outcomes across a complex matrix organization. Responsibilities
Strategic Relationship Management Own and manage executive-level relationships with assigned distribution partners. Develop and execute customized business plans that align partner objectives with Prudential's growth strategy. Serve as the primary point of contact for home office leaders and key decision-makers. Establish trusted advisor relationships that strengthen Prudential's position within partner organizations. Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with partner firms. Business Development & Growth Identify opportunities to increase annuity sales, advisor engagement, and market penetration. Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to drive business growth initiatives. Partner with firms to expand product placement, platform access, and advisor adoption. Analyze sales trends, competitive dynamics, and partner performance to uncover growth opportunities. Support the launch and adoption of new products, solutions, and strategic initiatives. Sales Enablement & Distribution Support Partner closely with internal and external wholesalers to execute firm-specific sales strategies. Drive innovative sales desk campaigns and advisor engagement programs. Support national sales initiatives, conferences, educational events, and partner meetings. Provide market intelligence and field feedback to business leaders. Ensure readiness and coordination surrounding partner events, campaigns, and strategic activities. Cross-Functional Leadership Act as the connective link between Relationship Management, Sales, Product, Operations, Technology, Service, Compliance, and Marketing teams. Lead complex initiatives requiring alignment across multiple business functions. Resolve escalated partner issues and drive timely, effective solutions. Influence internal stakeholders to prioritize partner needs and strategic opportunities. Support onboarding and implementation of new distribution relationships. Business Intelligence & Market Insights Monitor business performance, sales activity, and operational metrics. Deliver actionable recommendations based on data, industry trends, and partner feedback. Maintain a strong understanding of the annuity landscape, competitor offerings, regulatory developments, and distribution trends. Provide strategic insights that influence product development and go-to-market planning.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field. Extensive experience in relationship management, distribution, sales, business development, or partner management within financial services.
Experience
supporting annuity, retirement, wealth management, insurance, or investment products. Demonstrated success managing large institutional relationships and influencing senior executives. Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Preferred
Experience
working with broker-dealers, wirehouses, banks, independent firms, or wealth management platforms. Knowledge of RILA, FIA, Variable Annuities, Fixed Annuities, and retirement income solutions.
