[What the role is] We are looking for a motivated and technically competent Engineer/ Project Manager to join our team in managing building services maintenance, electrical upgrading projects, and home improvement projects for HDB residential flats and housing estates. You will play a key role in delivering quality outcomes for residents and stakeholders across the full project lifecycle. You will have opportunities to engage residents and work closely with stakeholders such as Town Councils, consultants, contractors, and other external agencies. [What you will be working on] Manage home improvement and building services projects including inspection and managing residents’ requests Oversee and manage electrical upgrading projects carried out in tandem with the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (NRP) and take ownership of the full project from project costing approval to completion, including assessment of technical recommendations and proposals from consultants, manage projects budget, process payment claims, and ensure compliance with established procedures and financial regulations Oversee the gas riser pipe cyclical inspections and maintenance regime to ensure compliance with Gas Supply Regulations for safety of residents; provide guidance to ground staff on resident engagement strategies to facilitate access for inspections/ replacement works; liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to resolve technical issues; and formulate standard operating procedures and initiatives to improve inspection effectiveness and regulatory compliance rates Coordinate enquiries and feedback on telecommunication matters, and review policies and procedures on the installation of telecommunication equipment at rooftops of residential blocks Provide consultation advice and manage term contracts for programme on improvement works for seniors in HDB flats Drive digital transformation including leveraging data analytics and AI-driven tools to streamline operations, for enhanced service delivery [What we are looking for] Background in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering, preferably with recognition by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore or in Project Management Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience Experience in electrical engineering works and project management would be an advantage Technical knowledge of gas systems would be an advantage Meticulous, independent, and professional, with a pleasant disposition Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders Sound technical and project management knowledge, including budget and contract management Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical proposals and resolve on-site and operational challenges The selected candidate will be offered a 1+1 year contract. http://jobs.careers.gov.sg The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
