This position reports to: Automation Engineering Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all Network & Cybersecurity engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the design, implementation, and securing of the 800xA-based ICSS and PMS network architecture are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner- from FEED through FAT, installation, and commissioning. You will also showcase your expertise by working within a multidisciplinary team of automation, safety, telecom, and PMS engineers, playing a critical role in defining and delivering network and cybersecurity solutions in compliance with OT cybersecurity standards across the full operational lifecycle of ICSS and PMS. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Offshore Solutions Business within the Automation Energy Industries EHouse Business and is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: Designing and configuring the OT/control system network architecture for 800xA ICSS and PMS incorporating full redundancy, VLAN segmentation, firewall/DMZ architecture, IP addressing, network time synchronization architecture, in compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Developing and maintaining the Cybersecurity Design Specification and related documentation in accordance with IEC 62443, incorporating defense-in-depth, security zones and conduits, RBAC, secure remote access, Windows hardening, antimalware, application whitelisting, and patch management across the OT infrastructure. Producing and maintaining supporting cybersecurity deliverables including network architecture diagrams, security philosophy documents, risk registers, patch management plans, backup/restore procedures, and system hardening guidelines. Deploying and integrating OT Intrusion Detection and continuous threat monitoring solutions viz. Claroty and Nozomi or equivalent - to provide passive network monitoring, asset inventory, anomaly detection, and security event visibility across the OT network. Ensuring the ICSS & PMS network architecture and cybersecurity design comply with maritime cyber resilience requirements including IACS UR E26, UR E27, and UR E22, in coordination with the assigned classification society (DNV, ABS, Bureau Veritas, ClassNK, or Lloyd's Register). Participating in FAT and SAT activities, including network validation, cybersecurity verification testing, and troubleshooting of network and security-related issues. Qualifications for the role Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Computer Engineering. Min. 8 years of experience in industrial network engineering and/or OT cybersecurity, with exposure to DCS/ICSS platforms with in Offshore, marine or FPSO projects is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of OT cybersecurity standards and frameworks: IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISA99, and familiarity with cybersecurity specifications used in Oil & Gas projects. Relevant certifications are a plus: CCNA/CCNP, GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificate, CISSP, or similar. Working knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC/OPC UA, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP), and virtualization technologies are advantageous. Hands-on experience with industrial network design (Belden / Cisco switches, routers, firewalls) in an ICSS/PMS environment. Familiarity with maritime cybersecurity requirements applicable to FPSOs: IACS UR E26/E27/E22, and classification society cybersecurity notations (DNV Cyber Secure, ABS CS, BV Cyber Security, ClassNK, or Lloyd's Register equivalents) is a strong advantage.
