Responsibilities
As a Class B CDL Hook Truck Driver, you will: Safely operate a Class B CDL hook-lift truck on assigned local routes throughout the Fife and greater Tacoma area. Deliver, exchange, and retrieve hook-lift containers at customer locations and disposal facilities. Load and unload containers using the truck's hook-lift system. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies. Secure containers and loads while following all company safety requirements. Utilize tablet-based technology to manage route information, electronic logs, and required documentation. Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members. Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Operate equipment safely while utilizing onboard safety technology and monitoring systems. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement. Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience.
Experience
operating manual transmission vehicles, including 10-speed, 13-speed, or 18-speed transmissions. Hook-lift, roll-off, or container delivery experience preferred. Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for safety and operational purposes. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork. SAFETY SENSITIVE: YES
