Job Summary

Schedule: 40 hrs per week. Boston and Foxborough Locations Provides direct management to a typically small to medium-sized team of CRNAs while continuing to spend the majority of time providing direct patient care as a CRNA.

Essential Functions

  • Performs all essential functions of a CRNA, providing direct patient care.
  • Directly oversees and is accountable for the performance of a team of CRNAs Oversees clinical SRNA training.
  • Hires, performance manages and completes performance appraisals for the FXB CRNA team.
  • Orients, trains, and schedules SRNA staff.
  • Assists with quality assurance programs as needed to support the implementation of quality improvement efforts.
  • Ensures continuing education and teaching for SRNAs.
  • Acts as liaison between the nurse anesthesia program, and BWH physician and CRNA staff
  • Ensures CRNAs are following proper billing compliance rules and methodology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

Education

Master's Degree Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner required

Licenses and Credentials

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist [CRNA (NBCRNA)] - National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) required Massachusetts Registered Nurse required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support - required

Experience

Experience

as a CRNA 5-7 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Strong clinical knowledge as a CRNA. - Strong managerial presence and ability to provide & direct feedback and guidance to staff. - Strong interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Results-oriented and exhibits a strong attention to detail.

Pay Range
