David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading Outsourcing/BPO consultancy who is seeking to onboard a Dutch speaking Legal Advisor to join their team in Lisbon.
Position: Legal Advisor
Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Employment type: fixed term (6 months)
Remuneration: Base salary + bonuses
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and external legal representatives, regulatory agencies, and enforcement bodies
- Manage and respond to inquiries from national regulatory authorities responsible for overseeing compliance with industry-specific regulations
- Review and process documentation related to legal or regulatory matters, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines
- Coordinate with legal officers and lawyers to gather relevant case information and assist in the preparation of responses or reports
- Monitor the progress of ongoing cases and ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders
- Assist in resolving disputes and compliance issues before escalation to formal legal proceedings
- Maintain organized records of all correspondence, documentation, and case activities for internal tracking and audit purposes
- Ensure all actions are in alignment with current regulations and internal policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native / fluent in Dutch (C2) both verbal and written. Fluent in English (B2 level)
- Proven experience as a Legal Advisor, Legal Counsel, or in a similar legal role
- Strong background in corporate, regulatory, or commercial law (depending on the industry)
- Prior exposure to contract negotiation, risk management, or compliance processes is advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of legal requirements and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex legal information in a clear and concise manner
- Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Sound judgment and ability to manage confidential information
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
