Job description

Quality Assurance Engineer As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you are responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with applicable quality manuals, company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. The Quality Assurance Engineer provides technical leadership for quality-related activities, supports manufacturing and engineering, administers the corrective action process, participates in audits, and has the authority to identify quality issues and recommend stop-work when quality requirements are not met. Location: Middleburgh Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area) Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only.. Develop, implement, and improve quality procedures, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria. Administer and support the Corrective Action Program, including nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness reviews. Review and evaluate nonconforming material through the approved disposition process and verify implementation of approved dispositions. Support internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits and verify completion of corrective actions. Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify opportunities for continual improvement. Support supplier quality activities, including qualification, evaluations, and issue resolution as assigned. Review quality records and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and controlled. Provide technical guidance to inspection and manufacturing personnel regarding code, specification, drawing, and procedural requirements. Verify personnel performing quality-affecting work are adequately trained and qualified. Prepare quality reports and management review inputs. Exercise stop-work authority when quality or safety requirements cannot be assured. Your Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline is preferred. Minimum 4–6 years of Quality Assurance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of quality management systems, auditing, corrective action programs, and document control.

Experience

interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements. Knowledge of ASME Section III, NQA-1, and applicable customer/regulatory requirements preferred. Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
