Job description

LeMay PCR, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a Class A CDL Driver in Frederickson, WA. This local CDL driving position offers home-daily routes, competitive hourly pay, a consistent four-day work schedule, and excellent benefits. We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused commercial truck driver to operate a Class A tractor-trailer on local routes serving customers throughout the South Puget Sound region. Pay & Schedule Starting Pay: $35.00 - $35.50 per hour Home Daily Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10 schedule) Available schedules: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Start Time: Between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer with a manual transmission. Drive local routes while following DOT regulations and company safety standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of commercial vehicles. Inspect brakes, tires, lights, fluids, and safety equipment. Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation. Provide excellent customer service while representing Waste Connections. Enter and exit the vehicle frequently throughout the workday. Lift, move, and handle materials as required. Train on Roll-Off equipment as business needs require. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Minimum of three years of Class A CDL driving experience.

Experience

operating tractor-trailers; experience with 53-foot trailers preferred. Ability to operate a manual transmission. Driving record that meets company and DOT requirements. High School Diploma or GED. Strong safety record and commitment to safe driving practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and transportation safety requirements. Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to climb, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform physical job duties throughout the shift. Ability to enter and exit the truck cab multiple times per day. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Environment Work is performed outdoors and near moving mechanical equipment. Exposure to changing weather conditions, vibration, vehicle noise, dust, and other environmental conditions typical of transportation operations.
