Essential
Duties
and
Responsibilities
- Pre-event suite set-up including chafing dishes, plates and silverware, televisions, lighting and overall ambiance in the suite.
- Verify and set-up all event orders for Suites
- Identify suite host and properly introduce yourself
- Take game day food and beverage orders and deliver to suite
- Set-up and check on game day food and beverage orders and serve guests until the end of the event
- Replenish food, beverages, condiments and utensils for suite and catering as needed
- Maintain standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite and catering areas throughout During Event
- Obtain signatures from the suite host on charges in a timely manner
- Clear all items from the suite and catering areas and clean all surfaces and chafing dishes
- Reset suite for next function, complete closing functions
- Check out with supervisor or manager
Qualifications
- Must have good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty
- Must follow all SAVOR… Omaha policies and procedures
- Must be present for all major events at the Arena
Education
and/or
Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in foodservice position required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Must be at least 19 years of age and able to pass a credit check
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards
- Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
- Knowledgeable in operating food service equipment, basic food preparatory techniques, sanitation and safety issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with staff, plan ahead and to prepare event plans simultaneously
- Highly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands
- Frequent walking for entire length of shift
- Constant standing, bending, reaching and repetitive motions
- Frequent lift, push or pull items and objects weighing up to 50 lbs
Working Conditions
- Moderate to extreme exposure to noise during events
- May be exposed to vibrations caused by extreme noise during events
- May be exposed to strobe lights/lasers during events
- May be exposed to chemicals when cleaning locations Hours of Work
