JLL is seeking an experienced Lead- Project Controls to lead our project controls function and drive excellence in project delivery across our portfolio. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the project controls team, providing strategic direction and mentorship to ensure consistent delivery of cost management, scheduling, and reporting services across all projects. Develop and implement project controls standards, processes, and methodologies that align with industry best practices and organizational objectives. Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate cost tracking and proactive identification of potential budget variances. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish realistic schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions when needed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project controls capabilities, leveraging technology and data analytics to optimize project performance and decision-making. Establish key performance indicators and reporting frameworks that provide leadership with clear visibility into project health and portfolio performance. Required
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in project controls, cost management, or project management within construction, real estate development, or infrastructure sectors • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing project controls teams • Demonstrated expertise in cost estimating, budget management, earned value management, and schedule analysis • Strong proficiency with project controls software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, cost management platforms) • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership and clients • Thorough understanding of construction processes, contract types, and project delivery methodologies • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects from inception through completion
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in relevant discipline (MBA, MSc Project Management, or related field) • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), EVP (Earned Value Professional), MRICS, or CCP (Certified Cost Professional) •
Experience
working within a global organization or international projects • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) •
Experience
implementing project controls technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives • Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods including Design-Build, IPD, and CMGC •
Experience
in commercial real estate, corporate real estate, or facilities management sectors • Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, presentations, or industry involvement
