Job Description Summary The Ongoing Care Team (OCT) Clinician is responsible for providing services to students and the University community, by offering individual and group psychotherapy/counseling, diagnostic assessment, psychological and career testing, consultation, outreach, and crisis intervention. The OCT Clinician is skilled in fostering the mental health, academic progress and career development of University students through a variety of psychotherapeutic and psycho-educational interventions. Qualifications

To be eligible for hire as a Staff Psychologist (exempt salaried 4):

Education

Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

Five (5) years of clinical practice in total, including experience gained throughout the Educational training. Licenses/ Certifications: Licensed or license-eligible to practice psychology in the State of Maryland within 1 year from hire. To be eligible for hire as a Counselor (exempt salaried 2):

Education

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

Two (2) years of clinical experience in an ambulatory mental health setting. Licenses/ Certifications: Licensed or license-eligible as a mental health provider in the State of Maryland. Other: Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) may also be considered with at least 2000 hours of post-graduate supervised clinical work and the ability to obtain a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license within one year. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Knowledge of individual and group psychotherapy, counseling, diagnostic assessment, psychological and career testing, consultation, outreach, and crisis intervention. Knowledge of group psychodynamics and supervision. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
