Job Description Washington Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Mindset & Culture for Husky Men’s Basketball to join their team. About this Opportunity Reporting to the Head Coach, the Director of Mindset & Culture provides support to the Men’s Basketball coaching staff and student-athletes. The position will have extensive involvement with coaches and student-athletes on a daily basis, both collectively and individually. The primary responsibilities will be to provide analysis and performance related data and insights to the Head Coach and assistant coaches about student-athletes and opponents. Key

Responsibilities

Data Analytics (30%) - Analyze practice and game data to evaluate the performance of players and opponents. Provide coaches with data-driven insights to support game planning and competitive strategy. Break down film and statistics to identify playing styles, strengths, weaknesses, and coaching tendencies. Track player development using athlete management systems and performance metrics throughout their careers. Deliver daily reports and recommendations to the coaching staff using basketball-specific knowledge. Mindset & Culture (30%) - Teach student-athletes mental performance skills, including mindfulness, focus, resilience, stress management, and positive self-talk. Conduct one-on-one and group mental performance training while referring mental health concerns to appropriate support staff. Recruiting & Evaluation (20%) - Assist with recruiting by evaluating prospective student-athletes and their fit within the program. Stakeholder Engagement (20%) - Collaborate with athletic department staff to support student-athletes' athletic, academic, and personal development. Build relationships with alumni and the local community while serving as a mentor to student-athletes. Required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years of experience in playing or coaching college basketball, or analytics, or sport administration; or an equivalent combination of any of the listed experience, or related education and experience. A minimum of two years of experience teaching mental performance skills in athletic settings. Additional

Qualifications

Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Strong initiative to solve problems. Ability to work with a diverse group of coaches, administration and student-athletes. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

Preferred Qualifications

Three to five years of experience of either playing or coaching collegiate basketball experience preferred. Masters of psychology or similar study program preferred. Knowledge of NCAA/Conference rules. Compensation,

Minimum: $120,000.00 annual

Pay Range

Maximum: $125,004.00 annual Other Compensation: - Taxable benefits include tickets to UW Intercollegiate home competitions. - Non-local candidates may be eligible for a moving allowance.
