Our position – MSL Manager, Oncology Medical Affairs, Hematology Are you ready to lead and inspire a team dedicated to transforming the landscape of hematological malignancies. As the MSL Manager, you'll collaborate with leadership to craft strategic plans that align with corporate and medical objectives. You'll drive the daily activities of a dynamic MSL team, focusing on personal and team development, while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. This is a field-based role located in Ontario. Your responsibilities include: Support the Medical and Brand Strategic Plans by leading, coaching and developing a field-based MSL team. Align the MSL regional plan with Canadian Medical plan and drive the implementation of the medical strategy at a regional level. Ensure MSL contact lists are aligned with medical head office guidance and interactions by MSLs against their contact lists are achieved Support HCP insight collection and communicate findings to Oncology Medical Affairs Leadership and cross-functional teams. Drive team performance and report key metrics and activities to Oncology Medical Affairs Leadership. Ensure alignment of MSL activities with other cross-functional roles. Demonstrate ongoing scientific and business expertise relevant to the AZ hematology portfolio. Represent field medical on internal project teams ensuring the field voice is heard. Run training, professional development, and performance management for team members. Support the development of MSL capabilities in scientific exchange and strategic relationships. Collaborate closely with other MSL managers to create consistency and drive team performance. Ensure compliance with all local regulatory requirements and AZ policies. Lead and supervise team financial resources. Dedicate up to 40% of time to field coverage in Ontario or head office activities, as required based on business needs and size of MSL team.

Qualifications

Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD preferred). At least 5 years of MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Previous experience leading, coaching and mentoring a team and with a strong talent development and performance management mindset. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. Strong strategic thinking with experience in product launch preparation and execution. Ability to build effective cross-functional collaboration across different functions (e.g. Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Operations etc.). Previous experience working in Oncology is preferred, experience in hematology and/or cell therapy is an asset. Travel required (Local, Regional, and National). Great People want to Work with us!
