Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: Identify suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and purchase goods and services needed by the organization while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Coordinate storage, transportation, and delivery of goods to ensure products reach the right location on time and in good condition. Maintain stock of items (e.g. materials and equipment) that are regularly used at project level with distribution plan and control Ensure a thorough knowledge of the WV's procurement systems and procedures and goods supply chain Assist staff, suppliers, partners and other people, verifying their needs in order to guide them and / or direct them to the people and / authorities Arrange all necessary logistical support for meetings as required requested, including meals and/or documents Make copies of documents as needed and ensure file/archival keeping of all incoming and outgoing mail and key documents Prepare procedures for the logistical requests (training, accommodation, meals, training material, etc) for staff following the correct procedures of the organization Prepare/process purchase orders, track orders from placement to delivery and ensure timely fulfillment of team requests. Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards, coordinate inspections and handle defective or non-conforming products. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: - Ability to communicate clearly in both written and oral Portuguese; knowledge of local languages is an advantage - Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to determine priorities; Personality engaging interpersonal relationship skills; - Proactivity and ability to work independently; and, computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel - Bachelors Honors Degree or equivalent completed. - Minimum of 2 years of administrative work experience. - Experience working in purchasing/procurement and logistics is an advantage Applicant Types Accepted: Local Applicants Only Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness.
