About the Role

A seed-stage AI SaaS startup operating in the energy and high-hazard industrial sector is looking for a Chief of Staff, Operations to serve as the operational backbone of the company. Working directly alongside the CEO, you will help drive the company's most critical priorities — spanning day-to-day operations, go-to-market execution, product planning, customer success, and fundraising. This role is built for someone who thrives in organized chaos and knows how to build just-enough process to maintain momentum without creating bureaucracy.

What You'll Do

  • Mirror the CEO's activities to align strategic and operational priorities across the company.
  • Own end-to-end project delivery timelines for enterprise contracts, ensuring commitments are met.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a key operational point of contact.
  • Design and implement systems to track decisions, set priorities, and streamline cross-functional workflows.
  • Support the creation of materials for investor updates and active fundraising activities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational needs including admin, travel coordination, conference logistics, and meeting agendas.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable operational processes in early-stage or high-growth startup environments.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management across product, sales, marketing, customer success, and finance.
  • Background in management consulting (MBB) or investment banking strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to align teams and priorities in close partnership with a CEO.
  • Familiarity with project management, CRM, and collaboration tools to support operational systems.
  • Must be available and willing to work on-site in San Francisco, 6 days per week — this is a firm requirement.
  • Degree in business, operations, strategy, or a related field preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the energy sector or B2B SaaS industry.
  • Prior experience partnering with a CEO on go-to-market strategy, product planning, customer success, or fundraising.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 annually
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

This is a fully on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be available in the office 6 days per week. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not offered for this position.
