This position reports to: Service Team Leader __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. Responsibilities
As a Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for: Perform commissioning, testing, and start-up activities for ABB systems and solutions. Execute site acceptance tests (SAT), factory acceptance tests (FAT), and system validation activities. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution and commissioning phases. Ensure compliance with ABB quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. Prepare commissioning reports, technical documentation, and handover packages. Collaborate with project managers, service engineers, Site Managers, customers , and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Provide technical support and training to customers and end users. Participate in project planning and risk assessment activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
for the role Bachelor's Degree, National Diploma, or BTech in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering. Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience in Medium Voltage Switchgear and relays, electrical systems, process control, or related environments.
Experience
with ABB Medium Voltage products, and Protection relays , or electrification solutions is advantageous. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Knowledge of industrial safety standards and commissioning procedures. Ability to travel locally and internationally as required. Valid driver's license.
