AI/ML Software Engineer Intern
Job description
Job Description Position Description: We are looking for a motivated and hands-on AI/ML Software Engineer Intern to join an exploratory innovation initiative at Agilent Technology. This role will work closely with the existing lead engineer, who will serve as the key designer and architect for the initiative. The new engineer will act as a strong counterpart and hands-on development partner, helping translate the technical roadmap into executable prototypes, data pipelines, model experiments, evaluation benchmarks, and internal demonstrations. Principle Duties/
Responsibilities
Design and implement algorithm tool for AI research. Design and implement a clear data preparation and annotation workflow. Deep learning model research, concept proposal and prototyping and testing. Ensure all documentation is accomplished and in proper form including any important design specification.
Qualifications
MUST: Master’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Analytical Chemistry, Chemometrics, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with Python-based data processing and machine learning development. Solid understanding of machine learning or deep learning fundamentals, including model training, validation, test set evaluation, overfitting, generalization, and performance metrics.
Experience
with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow. Proficient in C# and .Net framework programming capabilities. Strong software engineering capability, including clean coding, debugging, modular design, version control, and technical documentation. Good analytical thinking, learning agility, and willingness to understand chromatography domain knowledge. Good communication skills and ability to work closely with a lead architect, domain experts, and cross-functional stakeholders. WANT:

& knowledge of GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS, MassHunter, OpenLab CDS, or similar analytical software platforms. Additional Details This job has a part time weekly schedule.
