Maintenance Supervisor

This position reports to: Production Engineering Manager __ Your Role: Own the Challenge In this role, you will lead the factory Maintenance team in planning and executing initiatives that enhance the reliability, availability, and efficiency of production equipment, technical infrastructure, and facilities. You will be responsible for implementing reliability-based maintenance strategies aligned with business objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. On a daily basis, you will coordinate responses to equipment breakdowns, oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize asset performance and lifecycle management. The work model for the role is: On site Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position. This role supports the Smart Buildings NEMA Enclosures factory in Ramos Arizpe. Key
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, production continuity, and facility performance. Develop and execute preventive, corrective, and reliability-based maintenance strategies aligned with business objectives. Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and optimize asset performance. Define maintenance plans for new equipment and production lines, collaborating closely with Engineering and Operations teams. Monitor maintenance KPIs, costs, and resource utilization to improve efficiency and control budgets. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards while developing and supporting maintenance team capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, facilities maintenance, or manufacturing environments, preferably within the metal-mechanical industry.
Experience
leading and supervising maintenance technicians or maintenance teams. Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, reliability methodologies, and asset lifecycle management.
Experience
performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective action plans. Knowledge of operational excellence, maintenance budgeting, and resource optimization.
Experience
managing contractors, suppliers, and maintenance service providers. Strong communication, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Fluent Spanish and intermediate English language skills.
Experience
with automation systems, PLCs, and industrial programming languages is considered a plus.
