Job Description Summary: Ares Global Client Solutions – Relationship Management focuses on fundraising across all strategies of the firm, including credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and secondaries, to institutional investors. The candidate will support Relationship Management by creating customized solutions for EMEA insurance companies, working with the Senior Relationship Manager on day-to-day coverage activities, and providing relevant support and content creation. This includes engaging with internal teams, third-party rating agencies, and law firms to ensure follow-through, as well as performing analytical tasks relevant to UK and European insurance coverage. Responsibilities
Provide support to the EMEA Relationship Management team with a focus on growing AUM with UK and EMEA insurance clients and capital friendly solutions as required. This includes supporting the full cycle of structured and straight-line fundraising, including meeting preparation, engagement with product management and investment teams on both fund and transaction-specific requests, and modelling required for asset side Solvency II analysis and assessment of Solvency Capital
Requirements
(SCR). New idea generation and implementation of insurance-friendly asset strategies in close collaboration with the Senior RM and internal stakeholders. Knowledge of market risks affecting the insurance business, sources of shareholder value, and structuring experience working with insurance balance sheets as an advisor/employee/banker is highly desirable, though actuarial experience or liability side modelling is not required. Managing internal and external processes from origination to execution in a highly collaborative culture. Education/Certification: Undergraduate degree or equivalent Required Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance balance sheet dynamics and the Solvency II regime, particularly in the UK, Europe, and Switzerland, combined with intellectual curiosity and a strong ability to learn on the job. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, financial modelling experience, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a highly collegial approach are essential. Knowledge of the Solvency II and Matching Adjustment regime. Required
Experience
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in client solutions with an insurance focus Skills/Abilities: Fluent in English; another European language is an advantage. Strong communication skills (including pitch building and stakeholder engagement), excellent interpersonal skills Highly collaborative team player, fast learner, problem solver with the ability to research and suggest solutions Highly motivated, with the ability to multitask and monitor own workload to follow through to execution Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and PowerPoint Reporting Relationships There is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity.
