Job Summary
This role will be responsible for utilizing a diverse set of cloud technologies to support Centric Cloud Customers, and to help build and maintain a scalable, robust, highly available platform for Centric’s C8 cloud application. This position will report to the Senior Director, Cloud Operations.
Responsibilities
Respond to and resolve time-critical customer issues in the public cloud Perform customer deployments, migrations and upgrades in the cloud environment Support automation projects including writing coding Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage servers in multiple cloud environments Create, manage, and maintain Cloud networking components Perform backups and restores of database and servers Assist in ensuring security processes are followed and customer data is secured Perform other administrative tasks in cloud environments as directed. Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Support teams to resolve issues Build effective working relationships with cross-functional team member Make suggestions for process improvements and enhanced operational efficiencies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, MIS, or related technology field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years working with Public Cloud infrastructure AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Advanced Linux or Open Source knowledge Expert in Containerization ie Kubernetes Solid understanding of cloud networking and security Infrastructure and Configuration as Code methodologies Detailed knowledge Microservices and DevOps 3+ years in incident response and major incident management
Experience
with the following technologies: Docker, Rancher, Virtualization, VPN, Kafka, RDP Advanced Linux and Windows experience
Experience
with the following is highly desirable: Confluence/Jira, Nagios, SSO, and SQL.
