Responsibilities

Welding Operations: Perform TIG welding to create joints on structures such as bridges, automotive bodies, and building frameworks Like Sheetmetal fabrication work. Tool Handling: Operate specialised hand and power tools, including arc welders, grinders, and buffing machines Material Preparation: Select and instal torch tips, filler rods, and flux based on the thickness of metal materials Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret welding codes and blueprints to ensure accurate welds Quality Control: Conduct tests on welds to ensure they are clean, free of errors, and meet relevant welding codes Safety Compliance: Ensure all welding operations comply with safety guidelines Skills and

Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and equipment operation Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose welding-related issues to ensure quality and productivity. Technical Precision: Ability to weld metal workpieces following engineering specifications and quality standards. Certification: Certification from recognised welding organisations The Essentials – You Will Have: Diploma / ITI or equivalent technical qualification 4–6 years of experience in Tig welding Knowledge of machine operations, tooling, dies, and maintenance practices Understanding of SOPs, safety requirements, and quality inspection processes Willingness to work in shifts and shopfloor environment The Preferred – You Might Also Have: Expertise in automotive, electrical, electronics, or general manufacturing industries Exposure to embossing operations and advanced bending techniques Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices Expertise in production documentation and reporting systems Train and support junior operators
