Sr Analyst, Application Development and Maintenance
Job description
What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value. Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Qualifications
3-4 years of experience BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field Key Accountabilities Provide application support through the Incident Management System, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and closure of reported issues. Prepare and maintain operational reports, including daily, monthly, and quarterly performance and support metrics. Monitor application health and proactively identify potential issues that may impact business operations. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting reported incidents. Implement simple code fixes, bug resolutions, and minor application enhancements. Develop, test, and deploy solutions following established development standards and change management processes. Support application maintenance activities and ensure the quality of delivered fixes. Proactively work on IT solutions with cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
Required Expertise Application Development and Maintenance using Java. Application support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution. Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Technical Knowledge Primary: Java, SQL, Web Services (REST/SOAP APIs), Angular, Spring MVC Secondary: ServiceNow, JIRA, Jenkins, Tortoise SVN, Git, Postman, GCP, PCF, Splunk Nice to Have: Full Stack Development knowledge Preferred Exposure SDLC, Agile methodologies, and application support processes.
