Job Summary

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for generating revenue, increasing brand awareness, managing client relationships, and promoting the full range of experiences offered by St Andrews Adventure. These offerings include weddings and private events, glamping accommodations, guided tours, recreational activities, group experiences, and food and beverage services. This is a hands-on role that combines sales, marketing, event coordination, and on-site support. The Sales and Marketing Manager will manage wedding and event clients from the initial inquiry through event completion and will assist the event coordinator and operations staff with on-site setup and execution, including work performed on sand and in outdoor environments. Essential Functions

Serve as the primary sales contact for weddings, private events, corporate functions, group bookings, glamping stays, tours, and recreational experiences. Manage wedding and event clients from the initial inquiry and site visit through contract completion, final planning, event setup, and post-event follow-up. Work closely with the event coordinator and designated staff members to ensure weddings and events are properly planned, set up, staffed, and executed. Assist with physical event setup and breakdown as needed, including arranging chairs, tables, décor, signage, ceremony areas, and guest spaces on sand, grass, and uneven outdoor surfaces. Coordinate with operations, food and beverage, reservations, guest services, recreation, and maintenance teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. Conduct site tours, sales appointments, planning meetings, and venue walkthroughs with prospective and confirmed clients. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase bookings, attendance, occupancy, and revenue across all areas of the business. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue goals. Identify and pursue new business through direct outreach, referrals, partnerships, networking, tourism organizations, wedding professionals, corporate contacts, schools, and community groups. Grow and maintain key accounts while identifying opportunities for repeat business, upgrades, bundled packages, and cross-selling. Develop wedding, glamping, tour, recreation, and group packages that appeal to target customers and support revenue goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, vendors, photographers, caterers, tourism partners, local businesses, and community organizations. Create and manage marketing campaigns promoting weddings, glamping, tours, recreation, seasonal activities, special events, and group experiences. Manage the company’s Facebook presence and support other social media platforms as assigned. Plan, create, schedule, and monitor social media content, promotions, advertisements, event announcements, customer stories, and seasonal campaigns. Respond to Facebook messages, comments, reviews, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Develop promotional materials, email campaigns, newsletters, brochures, event packages, sales presentations, and digital content. Coordinate photography and video content for weddings, glamping, tours, recreation, and special events. Maintain accurate pricing, package information, promotional details, and booking information across sales and marketing channels. Monitor campaign performance, booking trends, customer engagement, lead sources, and revenue results. Conduct competitor and market research to identify new audiences, industry trends, package opportunities, and areas for growth. Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, contracts, payments, client communications, bookings, and sales activity. Represent St Andrews Adventure at wedding shows, tourism events, trade shows, networking functions, community events, and promotional activities. Maintain full knowledge of St Andrews Adventure operations, including weddings, glamping, tours, recreation, food and beverage, reservations, guest services, safety procedures, and available packages. Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with company policies, procedures, brand standards, and applicable regulations. Monitor event and workplace safety conditions and report concerns promptly. Perform other sales, marketing, event, and operational duties as assigned. Skill and Knowledge

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred. At least two years of experience in sales, marketing, events, hospitality, tourism, recreation, or a related management position. Wedding or event sales and coordination experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close sales, manage client accounts, and achieve revenue goals.

Experience

developing and promoting wedding packages, accommodations, tours, recreation, or hospitality experiences is preferred.

Experience

managing Facebook pages, social media content, digital advertising, and customer engagement. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to professionally communicate with wedding couples, families, vendors, guests, employees, and business partners. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, events, deadlines, and priorities. Ability to work independently while leading and supporting event coordinators, staff members, and cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and professional during events. Ability to problem-solve and make timely decisions in changing weather, guest, staffing, and operational conditions. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, booking platforms, social media tools, and customer relationship management systems. Ability to analyze sales results, marketing performance, booking trends, and customer feedback. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required. Ability to work in an office environment and at outdoor event locations. Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site tours, weddings, events, and promotional activities. Ability to walk, stand, carry equipment, and perform setup duties on sand, grass, gravel, docks, and uneven outdoor surfaces. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, wind, sun, light rain, and changing temperatures. Ability to assist with wedding and event setup and breakdown, including moving chairs, tables, décor, signs, linens, supplies, and event equipment. Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, climb, and carry items during event setup and breakdown. Ability to move throughout the property and between event, glamping, recreation, tour, and guest-service areas. Ability to safely perform physical tasks while working on sand and uneven terrain. Ability to read, prepare, and understand contracts, proposals, event documents, schedules, and work-related materials in English. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, guests, vendors, and employees. Ability to manage several priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and event-driven environment. Ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions during high-pressure events or unexpected operational changes. Local and occasional national travel may be required.
