Senior Engineer, Technology Delivery & Operations Position Summary LSEG's Post Trade Technology Division is looking for a Senior Engineer, Technology Delivery & Operations for Securities Engineering team in Malabe, Sri Lanka. This role will report to the Technical Delivery Manager and provide operational, technical, and project support across the Securities Engineering organization. The role is focused on ensuring the stability and continuous improvement of technology services by supporting KTLO (Keep the Lights On) activities while contributing to cybersecurity initiatives and strategic technology delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented technology professional who can effectively balance day-to-day operational support with participation in technology and cyber transformation initiatives. The successful candidate must be self-motivating with the ability to prioritize work and should be able to learn and adapt to fast paced environment. Key
Responsibilities
Support the Technical Delivery Manager in coordinating and executing KTLO (Keep the Lights On) activities across Securities Engineering. Collaborate with I&C engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of operational and strategic initiatives. Assist with incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders. Coordinate and track operational activities, risks, issues, and action items across multiple workstreams. Support the planning, execution, and reporting of cybersecurity initiatives, including remediation activities, control enhancements, and compliance-related deliverables. Produce and maintain project documentation, operational procedures, dashboards, status reports, and management updates. Track project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables, escalating risks and blockers where appropriate. Support governance activities, including meeting coordination, minutes, action tracking, and reporting. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies. Assist with audit requests, regulatory deliverables, and technology risk management activities as required. Required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
supporting enterprise technology environments in a financial services organization is preferred. Understanding of IT service management processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management. Familiarity with project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, technology risk, and security controls. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred Skills
Experience
with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow enterprise tools. Exposure to securities trading, capital markets, or investment banking technology. Knowledge of AWS cloud platforms, infrastructure, or application support. Understanding of operational resilience, governance, and regulatory requirements within financial services.
