Information Systems Security Engineer The Opportunity: As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), you design and implement security across the systems development lifecycle, integrating process‑driven compliance such as RMF into agile engineering practices to deliver iterative, sprint‑aligned security solutions. You serve as the lead technical resource for transforming security policies into code and operationalizing an automated GRC framework. You participate in solution analysis and architectural reviews, then translate complex designs and automated control implementations into clear, actionable concepts for stakeholders such as ISSMs and ISSOs. You architect and deploy a layered automation framework for hybrid and cloud environments: secure Infrastructure‑as‑Code templates that embed controls at creation, configuration management to detect and remediate drift, Policy‑as‑Code for continuous compliance validation, and an orchestration layer for event‑driven, self‑healing responses. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
