Job Description The Director of Sales - TTM position will represent the TTM portfolio within the Urology & Critical Care Division. The position is responsible for leading the commercial sales strategy across multiple roles and functions within the organization. This role is accountable to exceed annual quotas of $120+ million. Job Title: Director of Sales - TTM Department: Hospital Field Sales Reports To: VP/GM of Sales, UCC FSA Status: Exempt JG Level: JG6 SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting achievement of organizational budget/quotas by leading the commercial sales team to profitably grow sales for the Targeted Temperature Management platform within the Urology and Critical Care Division of BD. ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: Include but not limited to the following: Accountable to meet and exceed assigned TTM revenue, gross profit and pricing goals annually. Supports and leads organizational profitability objectives. Supervision of RBMs (Regional Business Managers) assigned to the division. Responsible for assessing, selecting, and staffing RBM positions with individuals whose competencies are appropriate to the requirements of the position. Establishes, implements and directs specific short and long-term sales strategies in support of division and corporate sales and profit objectives. Supports development of region/territory goals and sales incentive plans (SIP) for sales representatives and managers. Ensures that sales personnel are properly trained and motivated to achieve group and individual objectives. Evaluates regional personnel in sales skills and techniques, product and clinical application, competitive knowledge and other areas of identifiable expertise deemed necessary to meet corporate goals in accordance with company standards. Communicates with the VP/GM of Sales, UCC in formulating proposals for policies and makes recommendations on processes pertaining to sales, pricing, product acceptance, new products, marketing services policies and procedures, distribution, customer relations, and marketing strategies. Communicates closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, National Accounts and Clinical Leadership around market trends, needs, strategy and ideation. Monitors performance of sales personnel against established objectives. Participates in field and home office activities to expand and improve relations with the customer. Works with Strategic Customer Group/UCC National Accounts to ensure TTM base is maintained and growing. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned. Responsible for designing and supporting a learning environment to develop current employees to be effective in their positions and prepare them for advancement. Responsible for routinely working with TTM associates in the field to assess their capabilities. Responsible for providing timely feedback on customer requirements and issues affecting TTM market. Responsible for planning and monitoring progress of each region in successfully achieving and exceeding annual sales goals. Responsible to provide frequent and timely verbal and written feedback on performance related to business objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. COVID-19 Vaccination Required. EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE: BS/BA degree with 7+ years of experience in the sale of medical products and 2+ years leading a sales team required. Prior experience leading managers preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written form to superiors, direct reports, and customers. Highly effective presenter. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability process complex information/analytics in order to monitor sales on an ongoing basis at the territory and divisional levels. Strong financial acumen. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carryout objectives PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands of this position require the ability to conduct extensive travel to meet with field sales associates, customers and internal leadership. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is a field-based position requiring an office set-up in the employee’s residence. Travel commitment of 50-75%.
