ABOUT THIS ROLE

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Finance Department’s daily operations and will work closely with the Finance Team to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights that aid in decision making. The role involves overseeing overall accounting functions including monitoring of financial transactions, preparing tax filings, assisting with audits and maintaining accurate financial records.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual financial closing.
• Perform month-end tasks, including journal entries, accruals and prepayments, account reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Oversee preparation and submission of tax filings, including VAT & WHT submission on a monthly basis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local tax regulations.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and governance standards.
• Manage and oversee Accounts Payable processes (invoice validation, processing, payment approvals).
• Monitor Accounts Receivable and ensure timely collections and follow-ups.
• Oversee processing of employee reimbursements and petty cash in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor and review intercompany transactions and reconciliation,
• Ensure proper allocation and recording of expenses across departments and cost centers.
• Ensure proper accounting of leases in compliance with applicable standards (IFRS 16 / PFRS).
• To liaise with external auditors and tax agents or banking partners.
• Perform ad-hoc job-related duties and functions as assigned from time to time by management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of working experience preferably with prior external audit experience.
• Working knowledge in Corporate Taxation, Witholding Tax and VAT policies and processes.
• Must be able to prepare full-set of accounts, financial and management reporting, cashflow reports, budgets and forecast.
