$45.50 - $65.50 hourly Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek. Job Type Unclassified Department Correctional Health About the Position As the Nursing House Supervisor, this position provides leadership to multiple correctional health clinics to provide appropriate, world-class patient care to patients going through the judicial system. The Nursing House Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical direction, oversight, and guidance for health assessments, clinical interventions, and more to ensure efficiency at night within our six clinics. The Nursing House Supervisor partners with the clinic’s Nursing Manager for staffing and process improvements.

Experience
serving as a supervisory nurse or in another capacity, assisting in clinical oversight of other nurses or medical staff Job Contributions Oversees 2-6 clinics during night shift and ensures organizational goals and NCCHC standards for patient care are met Supervises all workflows at the clinics, including ensuring appropriate staffing and clinic assignments for Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Emergency Medical Technicians. In partnership with nursing leadership, communicates and drives operational improvement and change management initiatives within the clinic(s) Coaches, mentors, and trains night shift staff In conjunction with the Nursing Manager, provides continuous performance management, conducts employee performance evaluations, and addresses performance and/or policy issues by clarifying expectations and providing feedback Supports staff growth and development by mentoring and providing guidance Assesses the educational and experience needs of all levels of nursing staff in collaboration with the individual and CHS
Education
Provides on-site orientation to new staff following new employee orientation, including outlining job requirements and expectations, policies and procedures, and proper use of equipment Creates and maintains an inclusive work environment that respects diverse ideas, backgrounds, and styles Creates, drives, and maintains a positive employee culture Reviews nursing documentation and Electronic Health Record queues to ensure that nursing tasks are completed (ID Screening, TB reads, Health Assessments, Facility Moves, Alerts, Sick Call Appointments, etc.) Ensures availability of equipment and supplies necessary for the nightly operation of the clinic Communicates with nursing staff on shift and provides direction to optimize workflows
Working Conditions
Ability to work inside a jail and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time throughout the shift while accurately handling a high volume of work, communicating with a culturally diverse patient population, and adapting to frequent changes, interruptions, and unscheduled tasks Position includes day or night shift work, which may include weekends and holidays Travel or floating to various clinical locations is required within a 5-mile radius Must be able to respond to emergencies Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification and get on the floor to perform CPR/chest compressions, push medical equipment, climb stairs, and lift patients on a gurney Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check and maintain MCSO jail access Active and valid BLS, CPR, and First Aid Certifications that meet the AHA curriculum standards, with in-person skills test and hands-on demonstration components, are required by start date Selection Procedure Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive Maricopa County is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
