Responsibilities

- Own and resolve complex L2/L3 backup and recovery incidents and service requests. - Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical backup failures and implement corrective actions. - Implement backup policies, SLAs, retention strategies, and disaster recovery procedures. - Manage multi-platform backup environments spanning on-premises, hybrid, and cloud workloads. - Evaluate and implement performance tuning for backup jobs, data deduplication, and replication. - Drive automation of routine backup tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash). - Collaborate with architecture and project teams for new backup solution onboarding. - Conduct capacity planning, storage forecasting, and license management for backup tools. - Prepare weekly/monthly operational reports and contribute to service improvement plans. - Manage and maintain backup integrations with VMware, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP, and cloud workloads. - Participate in DR drills and ensure successful restore SLA compliance. Experience

with NAS/SAN storage concepts - Understanding of AWS S3, Glacier, and cloud-native backup services -
