The Senior Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing the daily relationship with Target Marketplace selling Partners with a focus on growth, profitability, and market share expansion. This role blends strategic management with analytical rigor. You will operate as a general manager for your portfolio, accountable for GMV, revenue, margin performance, and Partner experience, while balancing near-term execution with long-term strategy. Key

Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution – Own pricing and promotions to drive growth while balancing short-term performance with long-term opportunity. Strengthen Target’s Marketplace – Optimize the Partner ecosystem and deliver differentiated assortments that elevate the guest experience. Turn Insights into Action – Use KPIs, guest behavior, competitive trends, and Partner analytics to shape strategies and improve conversion. Consult on Financial Planning – Ensure accuracy in forecasting, alignment to goals, and accountability to results for your categories. Influence & Communicate – Share strategies, updates, and performance clearly with leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners to align and drive impact. About you: Four-year degree or equivalent experience required. 5+ years of experience in merchandising, inventory management, forecasting, or product selection (including open-to-buy management). 3+ years of eCommerce experience; marketplace/3P expertise strongly preferred. Proven business acumen with a track record of building industry relationships and leveraging data analytics to inform decisions. Expertise in business planning, forecasting, and defining KPIs to drive execution of business strategy. Entrepreneurial and performance-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Resilient and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring clarity and decisiveness in complex or changing situations. Excellent communicator with strong planning, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
