A role in Corporate Real Estate means the opportunity to develop and execute a long-term, flexible real estate strategies for Target’s non-retail portfolio globally delivering right experiences in office commute to reflect the forward leaning culture of the organization. You will be a key player on a team that manages the lifecycle of the non-retail portfolio and balancing with schedules and budgets while keeping the internal team and vendor partners aligned with effective communication. You’ll drive value through optimized performance. The Lead Specialist – CRE Compliance will be responsible for ensuring adherence to labor laws and other regulatory compliance requirements across Target location for Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team. The role will manage compliance monitoring, reporting, audits, vendor governance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure compliance risks are proactively identified and mitigated. Key Responsibilities: Manage labor law compliance, CLRA compliance, BOCW compliance and other statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to CRE team. Monitor compliance obligations and ensure timely submission of statutory records, licenses, registrations, and returns. Maintain compliance trackers and ensure timely closure of action items. Prepare periodic compliance reports, dashboards, and management updates. Review compliance documentation submitted by vendor partners and identify gaps. Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation for audits and inspections. Coordinate with vendor partners to collect audit evidence and required documentation. Track audit observations and drive timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions. Ensure sustained compliance through regular reviews and follow-up mechanisms. Work closely with CRE – relationship managers and vendor partners to ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, and contractual compliance obligations. Conduct periodic compliance reviews and assessments of vendor partners. Escalate compliance risks and recommend corrective actions as required. Partner with internal stakeholders including CRE, Compliance, HR, and vendor management teams. Provide compliance guidance and support on regulatory requirements and audit readiness. Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and vendor partners on compliance matters. Skills and Knowledge Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory) in Law, Compliance, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related discipline preferred. 3–6 years of relevant experience in managing labor law compliance, CLRA compliance, regulatory audits, and vendor compliance programs. Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and tasks, and work within tight deadlines Ability to establish and maintain strong and positive working relationships Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in making presentations Target is one of the world’s most recognized brands and one of America’s leading retailers.
