A Finance Intern to work closely with the Lead Accountant and Bookkeeper to gain hands on experience at Albany Bakeries Sasolburg Financial Data Management: Entering transactions, maintaining financial records, and updating databases or spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders Analysis and Forecasting: Conducting variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis to assess financial performance, as well as supporting budgeting and forecasting processes Reconciliation and Compliance: Reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, and assisting with audits or compliance reviews Project Support: Participating in ad-hoc projects, special assignments, and process improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Despatch, Maintenance and Distribution, to coordinate activities and exchange information Software and Tools: Using Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and other financial tools to process data, create models, and support reporting In accordance with the employment equity plan of Tiger Brands and its employment equity goals and targets, preference may be given, but is not limited, to candidates from under-represented designated groups.
